Appealing to the Eye

"Beauty is only skin deep." Often times many people, say this when others around them are feeling rather low. But sadly, hardly anyone really believes it. The brutal truth is, that many people who are labled as attractive are successful in nearly every aspect of their life. Why? Because they are appealing to the eye. The human eye is a harsh judge. It scans every detail, picks out every flaw and sends its report to the big boss: the Brain.
Nine times out of ten when we see someone who is considered attractive by our cultural presupposition, We automatically feel ugly.

Example:  When you look at this Lady below

You might feel that you look like this:

Which I'm sure is not true.

The honest truth is that God does not make ugly people. People make themselves ugly by their perception of their outward appearence. Some things can't be helped but other things are caused due to the mistreatment of their own body. Also keep this in mind, If you don't think you're beautiful just the way God made you, then no one else will.

  1. I love this post. It is marvelous and so true. I used to feel so uglly around people that I thought were beautiful but then I realized exactly what you stated: "God does not make ugly people". Beautifully written. Especially the part about the swine. ;)
I would love to have a project at school to show random acts of letting people know that they are beautiful. Watch it happen. And smile to yourself when you see it and tell noone of it. :]
    Merry Christmas dear friend.
    xo.
